me smile and at the same time appreciate the truth of how important it is to
have a creative and relaxing hobby. She
said, "If more people knitted and crocheted, the world would see fewer wars and
a whole lot less road rage."
I couldn't resist pairing Lily's insightful comment with a

Yarn: Lang Golf (100% mercerized cotton; 136 yd [125 m]/50 g): #24 pearl grey, 13 (14, 15, 17, 18) balls. Yarn distributed by Berroco.
Yarn weight: #2 - Fine
Gauge: 1 shell st = 1" (2.5 cm), 12 shell rows = 4" (10 cm) on smaller hook; 12 st-rep of first diamond pattern = 2" (5 cm) blocked, stretched lengthwise.
Needles: Hooks: Sizes D/3 (3.25 mm) and F/5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle.
