Four Books for Gifting

Dec 2, 2013

As the holidays approach and we gear up for some of our best sales of the year, I wanted to take a moment to tell you about my favorite books. But I just couldn't pick favorites! That might explain why I am desperately in need of a fourth bookcase. Instead I'll share with you four books that are perfect for gifting.

Clever Crocheted Accessories
by Brett Bara

With twenty-five projects from some of our favorite designers, you can whip up in under a week, this pattern book has quickly become my go-to resource for quick gifts. I crocheted the Saturday Beret in just two days and fell in love with the gorgeous organic shaping of the Bruges lace. A beret of my own is on my list for after the holidays. Mitts, socks, bags, shawls, jewelry, and more, and I know the perfect person for each one. You will too.

The Best of Interweave Crochet
by Marcy Smith

A compilation of some of Editor Marcy Smith's favorite patterns and how-to articles, this book is a great gift for your crochet friends. But don't forget to order a copy for yourself. Inside you will find Kathy Merrick's famous Babette Blanket and Boteh Scarf, some of our favorite sweaters, amazing lace designs, and striking colorwork. You will also be able to find the perfect gift for a very special friend.

Simply Crochet
by Robyn Chachula

Get the most out of your yarn stash with Robyn's help. Full of tips and tricks for crocheting on a budget, the twenty-two projects in this collection are separated into 1 ball or less, 2-3 balls, and 4-5 balls. But don't make the mistake in thinking all twenty-two projects are comprised of hats and scarves. Yes, with a few tips and some clever designing, you can crochet a sweater out of only 4-5 balls.

Unexpected Afghans
by Robyn Chachula

My favorite thing about this collection is that each afghan is unique. In lace, Tunisian, cables, and motifs each afghan is distinctive and will introduce you to a new technique. You will also find a variety of afghan weights, from lacy lightweight designs perfect for a spring nap in the sunshine to dense Tunisian afghans  that you will reach for on a cold winter evening.

Pull out your wrapping paper and cross a few more easy gifts off of your list. Order one of these amazing books today or download them and finish a gift this weekend.

Best wishes,

P.S. Do you own any of these books? Which patterns are your favorite?
