Some of us were taught to crochet by a grandmother or mother and have a more personal connection to the craft. We mostly donate to local NICUs, but have also donated to Foster Children and the Humane Society, as no-sew fleece blankets and small crocheted cat blankets are easy for beginners to start with. I have taught dozens of people to crochet for this project, and many of them have continued to crochet for themselves and their families. rememberingrowan.blogspot.com/.../our-article-in-camas-post.html
