I am All. About. Crochet. 24/7. But that doesn't mean I get to crochet all the time.

Like you, I have to balance my crochet time with work time—editing, writing, what-notting.

But the projects in the Fall 2009 issue of Interweave Crochet were so inspiring that I made time to crochet.

I have crocheted three projects from the issue, and have a few others on my must-make list (including the elegant cover sweater by Robyn Chachula).

To help inspire you, here are the projects I've worked up so far from the Fall 2009 issue.

Moorish Mosaic Afghan by Lisa Naskrent

I selected my own colorway for this fabulous afghan. I also left off the edge triangles (I like the look and it let me finish even faster!). This afghan usually lives on my turquoise couch, but sometimes finds its way to the red chair, where I may or may not weave in the few ends that are dangling on the back (shhh)!

Hmm, what colors do you have in mind for your own afghan?

Moss Fern Wrap by Kimberly K. McAlindin

Love it! In the magazine, the Moss Fern Shawl is worked in  lovely autumnal colors. I worked it up in springlike azalea tones.

You can wear this five or more different ways. I've worn it with a pink sheath, both over the shoulders and wrapped as it is on Peggy Sue the mannequin there. I look forward to wearing it with my pink coat in winter. (I might have a pink problem ...)

Veronica Sweater by Sarah Barbour

Love this, too! I worked the sweater as shown in the issue, but decided to wear it with just one button instead of fully closed. The addictive wattle stitch works up quickly!

I added a brown reverse single-crochet edging. The button is a polished rock that's been transformed to a button—it looks like a mountain peak to me. The sweater is great with pants or a skirt or a dress, as shown here.

Tahoe Hat by Marcy Smith

I made several of these hats while traveling. Works up fast! Great for holiday gifts as well as charity giving.
