Watch Your Way to Expertise: A New Series Featuring Crochet Corner on KDTV!

. Sometimes the best way to learn something is to watch someone do it while they explain all the steps to you. I know this was the case for me and Hairpin Lace. Pictures just didn't do the trick; I needed someone to show me how to do it. Fortunately, I was able to do this in my living room with Kristin Omdahl, with access to a "rewind" button that never got tired or gave up when all seemed hopeless. Kristin is the host of the Crochet Corner segment on Knitting Daily TV, where she explores crochet techniques for beginners and experienced crocheters alike.

.  If you've seen the 400 series, you know that Kristin is great at breaking down complex steps into concise directions that anyone can follow. The new series 500 of KDTV takes things up a notch, exploring a ton of popular techniques such as chart reading, textured stitch patterns, color work and tapestry crochet, Tunisian, edgings, amigurumi, sweater shaping, ripples and zig zags, designing your own projects from stitch patterns, and Kristin's area of expertise: motifs.

    I felt pretty lucky to get to watch the whole series as "work," though I warn you that the show is dangerously motivating. It may result in a flurry of wanting to try ten new things all at once because you're all-of-a-sudden not scared of them anymore! I had to upgrade my WIP bag for all my new starter ideas. First on the list is Hairpin Lace. The Victorian in me is appalled that I waited this long to try, but it turns out I was just waiting for the perfect teacher.

And did I mention there is a free crochet pattern introduced every week on the show? Perhaps now I'm just being an enabler, but I'll feel better about my mountain of works-in-progress if everyone else is in the same boat.

Hello I would like some help .

       Ilove to crochet but can only do basic items ,Icant read a pattern, like a lot of people i like someone to do something and i fellow i do get dvds but what i would realy like is a class i could go to can you please help me .(I live in london England)
