Lattice Hat: Tunisian Entrelac in the Round Tutorial

Nov 27, 2013

The Lattice Hat by Kristin Omdahl, Interweave Crochet, Winter 2014

The lattice hat uses a seamless Tunisian entrelac in-the-round technique that sounds much more intimidating than it really is! Trust me, this is coming from someone who has only dabbled in Tunisian and never done entrelac crochet. After sitting down with Kristin's tutorial, the pattern, and a hook, I gave the first large triangle section a try and was able to complete all six within about 45 minutes! Also to note, I was fresh out of Tunisian hooks so I grabbed a regular one that worked just fine as the passes only have 13 stitches at the most.  (To clarify, I was using a regular hook with no padding or grip at the handle).

Give this fun pattern a try and please share your finished beret with us!

Did I miss something?  I feel like a page is missing out of this pattern.  There is no chain such and such to start, how many stitches to start triangle with, or anything to start pattern with.  I guess I could count the stitches by the picture, but it seems like a page is missing, or start up instructions.  Am I missing something?  Thanks for your help.
