I linked to this site a couple of weeks ago, and here's another mention of the unusual and intriguing craft called shirret: Old-timer knows how to cut a rug.
That looks excellent! I want to learn more. I took a course last spring in crocheting rugs and I really liked it. I'm going to search for more info on shirret. Thanks!
Did you see the photo? I don't mean the rug, I mean the lady. If this is what a crocheting 90-years old lady looks like, it's my goal in life to be one...
I'd like to find more info on shirret. Does anyone know a good site to visit?
I just bought a Shirret needle and have not figured out how to begin. I see how to grab a stitch from in between an existing row and double crochet it, but the first row has me stumped. Have you heard from anyone who could help me?Mary Nelson nelsomj@centurytel.net
Here's the URL for Shirret:http://shirret.com/default.htmEnjoy! It's great fun -- and it uses almost any size of scraps.
