put that back in your mouth

Mar 24, 2005

This week the unlikely happened: After over a year of watching my crochet thing evolve beyond the realm of all that is practical and reasonable, my husband learned how to crochet. It took a visit from Crochet me Contributing Editor and instructor extraordinaire Cecily to get him to take the plunge. But he wasn't very happy when I went to take his picture:

crocheting with tongue out

When I finally convinced him to keep his tongue in his mouth, the dog took over:

cleo sticks her tongue out

Thanks, Cleo. I appreciate it.

put that thing awayThere are two types of people in this world: Men who stick their tongues out when they finally learn to crochet after months and months of insisting they weren't interested, and men who live with dogs who stick their tongues...

I must say that your husband is an interesting sight. Tongue or not. Crochet or not. I compliment your choice.

Yes, the dog definitely looks better with tongue out than does husband.

I know I will never see the day when my hubby picks up a crochet hook with the intention of crocheting anything. Then again, I will never purposefully turn on the NFL network either. Both your hubby and your dog are very cute. And I LOVE the leather recliner.

That is great! My hubby says no way everytime I offer to teach him. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the finished project.

I THINK THE HUBBY AND DOG ARE BOTH EQUALLY ADORABLE.
