Scott the Bear

I'm on Bowen Island this week, working and playing. The work is stuff I can't show yet, so I'll distract you with this little guy. He'll be in the book Just Gifts (Potter Craft), sometime in the next several months. I admit I had a tough time making a teddy bear, since I like to make dolls that are a little less... conventional. But I'm happy with this little guy.

Specs:

  • Yarn: Lion Brand Lion Wool
  • Hook: 4mm
  • Height: Approx. 4"

omg, Kim,

He's adorable. When I'm mobile again and can actually get to my own computer, I'll send you a photo of Pierre, an amigurumi elephant who would be a great friend for Scott.

You know, I was surprised at how nice the Lion wool is for amigurumi - plus there's a good color selection. I did a Warm Up America exhibit at the Clevo Sewing Expo and Lion sponsored the booth - mondo lionwool and inbetween teaching kids to knit and crochet, I did some amigurumi and loved using that yarn - who knew? lol.

(and it's a darn site cuter than the catnip sushi toys I did for the upcoming book! lol)
