Debbie Stoller at Bryant Park, NYC Tomorrow

Aug 1, 2006

Debbie Stoller will be hosting a signing and trunk show tomorrow (Wednesday, August 2nd) as part of the Bryant Park Word for Word summer reading series (scroll down to August 2nd on that page for more info). Due to the heat advisory (stay cool, New Yorkers!), the event will take place indoors at Coliseum Books, 11 W. 42 nd Street (between 5th & 6th Avenues).

Are you aware that comments are locked on the book post? I was going to respond to a comment about a link to Josi's webpage and found that I can't comment at all. I wasn't sure if e-mailing or commenting would be faster, so I figured I'd go this route since it was right here.

On-topic: I feel for those New Yorkers. Down here in Missouri, it's triple digits with the heat index.

Gayle,

Kim is aware that the comments are locked. She did that herself so she wouldn't have to spend so much time deleting every comment which asked about Josi's website. Josi's website address has been posted numerous times by people and has been deleted numerous times by Kim.

Hi Gayle and Judith,

Yes, I did close comments. Too much good stuff to do today to be bothered by them.

As for the weather, I'm brought back to my camp counselor days: Drink water! Wear a hat! Wear sunscreen! Go swimming! Eat salty snacks! For goodness' sake, take it easy, and stay creative.

Kim

I'm drinking plenty of water and using plenty of sunscreen, thanks. I'm much too fair-skinned to chance the sun at 100 degrees.

I'm confused as to why you didn't post Josi's website address after all the requests, and why you deleted the comments giving it out. I can understand closing comments to stop the influx of repetitive information, but leaving the comments without the information that was being asked seems a bit odd.

I know it's odd. And I know that to most readers of this blog it doesn't fit in and doesn't make sense. I'm not going to elaborate, but I do appreciate your concern.

Oh man. Wish I knew in advance. I'd love to go and see her talk again.
