And the tour is off! I spent the weekend in Cambridge, MA, one of my favourite east coast places. I had a blast at Spark on Sunday, with some familiar and new-to-me crocheters, my uncle and my brother-in-law, and even Jess & Casey (who, the night before, had plied me with the most delicious schmancy drinks I've ever had. We, um, closed the bar. They drive a Vespa. Too adorable for words).
I gave a wee show-and-tell of some of the projects from the book and the magazine, and in general waved my arms around and blathered a bit. And I signed my very first book!
There was much fondling of projects.
This is Katie. She didn't make it to the signing, but Jess spotted her sitting by the window at the front of the store, already starting the cover sweater! She was so sweet and let me take her picture.
This is how delicious Spark is. Yes, I bought a skein of yarn. No, I'm not ready to announce yet that I'm about to make a hat and scarf from it. Mostly because I'm not holding my breath for when I might get it done (let alone get it started. Maybe at the Guild meeting tonight...).
Next stops: The Sewing Expo outside of Chicago, and then the (drumroll!) US launch at Webs on Sunday the 14th! (Remember to RSVP to Webs if you'll be there.)
