"Baby It's Cold Outside" on Grey's Anatomy

Jan 14, 2008

Did you see it? I missed it.

Want to make one? The so-called BICO baby/toddler cardigan is a very popular first-garment project since it's so simple and small, and I know for sure it's an adorable and quick project cuz I've made one and loved every minute of it. Julie Holetz designed it, and she just rocks.

If you've made one, post a pic in the comments. So cool!

I went to check out the episode online.

Not from Canada!

But luckily the wee wrap-up gave me all I needed. (Also, seriously? They're breaking up again? In the voice of my ancestors I ask, Why should this night be different from any other?)

I did see that I perked up when I saw the sweater. However, later in the ep, George's mom was knitting! Talk about your continuity problems, LOL!

I loved making the sweater too--I'm sure I'll make another for future babies...

Actually I heard about this. there is a thread on Ravelry. It actually is NOT a BICO. It is a sweater that was commissioned by the show to Lisa, on crochetville.com. The thread is here: http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=68702. It is similar the the BICO, however she did hers in pieces.

I made 3 of these sweaters a couple of years ago and they are a favorite of mine as well as the people who I gifted them to. Now, I can't seem to remember how I determined to size up two of the sweaters. I made one to fit a 3 y/o and one to fit an 18 month old. Can someone clue me in, since I foolishly didn't write it down. I'd love to make one for my 4 y/o niece, 3 y/o grandson & 18 month old granddaughter. Please help...thanks in advance for any help you can offer this forgetful grandmother.--Jane
