This kind of cozy I can get behind.

I'm usually not a fan of decorative cozies. I like objects to be as they are – why cover up toilet paper? Isn't it, you know, supposed to be in the bathroom?

But sometimes the cozy is elevated to art. Like this spare-tire cozy Maryse saw at the New England Fiber Festival in West Springfield, MA, earlier this month.

Of course a spare tire is expected to be mounted on the back of a truck. But a giant doily covering it? That's a statement!

Hope that your car is not outside!!!!   that  is a little overboard ? I think.  someone would steal  it or write on it!!   Good luck.

Looks neat but not a good idea!! someone would steal it or write on or spray something on it,etc.  oh and wait till it rains ha ha!  .

Great idea, but I hope it is safe on the car. If I drive with something like this in South Africa....you will just see accidents!!!! They will think I am crazy!!!!!

I like to take a doily pattern from my stash, use bigger yarn & hook, and make a shawl.  If you like self-patterning yarn, you can get some lovely effects :)

I say, "why not!"  It is definitely unusual, eye catching and a conversation starter.  She/he? probably lives and drives mostly on pavement because it still looks white.  If you lived on a dirt road, maybe a nice tweedy brown?  Personally, I like it.  Not sure it would fit my personality . . . but I'm still thinking about it!

I have the spare tire on the back of the car.  Trying to figure out what size yarn and hook will be needed to do this! Oh, the DH will be embarassed, but only for a while.  NEED MORE YARN and time.
