Earlier this week, I wrote about the crochet iPad cozy I made, with the help of a few designers.
Margaret Hubert was one of those designers. After the enewseletter hit her emailbox, she dropped me a line:
Hi Marcy,
I loved your iCozy (thanks for using my swatch). Last fall I had a similar idea but a little different. I received a box containing about 200 swatches that I had made for my two big Complete Photo Guide Books [The Complete Photo Guide to Crochet and The Complete Photo Guide to Knitting).
I thought I might put them together for a patchwork afghan, then I had a brilliant idea, (well I thought so any way :-)
and made them into sweaters. I made ten sweaters for charity and for a church craft fair. Such fun, and I plan to do more.
Margaret
A brilliant idea, indeed! Here are a few of Margaret's great sweaters:

How do you give your swatches new life? We'd love to know!
Best,
Marcy
p.s. Check back Sunday for a pattern for an iPad cozy!
