Can you believe that I have been crocheting for 15 years, and I have
never made an anigurumi? I know, I can’t believe it either. If you
haven’t explored the abilities of CrocetMe, I would suggest browsing
through the pattern section. You can find anything from garments to
scarves to bags to particularly adorable amigurumis.
Browsing through the patterns, I came across an adorable Baby Snow Dragon created by
Marjorie. One thing I have recently discovered I love about amigurumis
is that gauge is not essential. I stumbled across a partial ball of sock
yarn shortly after discovering this pattern. The beautiful blue
variegation just begged to be used.
Piece by piece my little dragon started to come together. It was a bit
like a puzzle, building each piece and finally fitting each piece
together.
She’s almost finished. Another thing I’ve discovered about
amigurumis is that they develop a history as they are created. My little
dragon’s name is Krystella and she is an ice dragon. The variegation in
the yarn is the camouflage utilized by many babies. I still have a few
pieces to add, but I will be sure to share pictures when she is
finished.
Best wishes,
Toni
