We
Amigurumi. These intensely cute dolls can bring a smile to even the
most curmudgeonly of I-hate-Mondayers. So how great would it be to see a
sweet Amigurumi every month for a year?
Here's what we want you to do to help make everyone's day happier in
2012: Crochet your cutest, most creative Amigurumi and submit it for
consideration for our 2012 calendar. The artists who design the thirteen
selected Amigurumi will be published in the calendar.
How it works
 ♥ Create original, not
previously published Amigurumi. Images of the Amigurumi can have
appeared on a blog, but the pattern cannot have been published. The
Amigurumi must be your design and not derived from another published
design. Amigurumi must be crocheted, but can be embellished with
embroidery, felt, beads, eyes, or other adornments. Amigurumi should be
two to eight inches tall. You must be able to provide a pattern for
the Amigurumi. There is no fiber restriction, but yarn should be
readily available for readers who will want to make your design in
2012.
 ♥Amigurumi can be
any style, but should not represent a copyrighted or licensed figure.
 ♥Submit two images
of each Amigurumi submitted, one front and one back, at crochetmecalendar@interweave.com.
Be sure photographs are well-lit and in focus. Include with your
submission a narrative describing your Amigurumi, along with a name for
your Amigurumi. Please include your name and contact information.

Deadline for entry:
October 15, 2010.
 ♥On November 1, we
will post the selected Amigurumi on the CrochetMe blog at
crochetme.com.

Please note: We reserve
the right to keep the thirteen selected Amigurumi for display through
December 31, 2012.
By submitting your work to
Interweave Crochet and CrochetMe, you are authorizing
Interweave to publish your project in the 2012 calendar as well as in
other upcoming publications and promotional materials, and on the CrochetMe
website. We will pay $175 USD for each submission chosen for
publication in the calendar and you will receive a complimentary copy of
the final calendar. Interweave cannot be held responsible for loss or
damage due to circumstances beyond our control.
Good luck! We can't wait to see
your little sweeties!
