 Amigurumi, crocheted or knitted stuffed dolls, use basic stitches and simple shapes, making them ideal for both beginning and experienced crocheters, and since most are small, they are excellent stash-busters. Amigurumi are perfect for children, but you will find just as many adults who boast their own collection.
For our Crochet Me 2012 calendar, we asked you to submit original amigurumi designs. We were overwhelmed by your enthusiastic response. Thirteen amigurumi were chosen to model in fantastical locales, and each little creature has its own distinct personality and unique story to tell.
We compiled the patterns for all 13 of the calendar
amigurumi into one downloadable ebook, which you can purchase in the Crochet Me Shop. We will also be posting
each month's pattern for free for the first 7 days of it's month. The pattern will be available only from
11:00 a.m. central time on the 1st through 11:00 a.m. central time on the 8th
of each month.
Join us on the forums and post pictures of your amigurumi in
the gallery. You can also download desktop wallpaper of each month's amigurumi
for your computer. To download the wall paper, click on the appropriate size below.
