Swingy Skirt

Worked in the round from the top down, this crochet skirt has double-crochet at the top for coverage, and then it flows out into longer treble-crochet, with increases to create gently undulating flares. Elastic cord is crocheted into the waistband for an easy fit.

Finished Size: 22 (26, 30, 34, 38)” waist circumference; 32 (36, 40, 44, 48)” hip circumference; 20″ long. Garment shown measures 26″ at waist after elastic is added to waistband, with 4″ ease at both waist (before adding elastic) and hip.

Yarn: Lion Brand LB Collection Cotton Bamboo (52% cotton, 48% rayon from bamboo; 245 yd [224 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #174 snapdragon, 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) balls.

Hook Sizes: G/6 (4 mm); H/8 (5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: 8 st markers (m); 2 lengths of elastic cord each long enough to fit waist plus about 14″ extra; yarn needle.

Gauge: 16 sts and 10 rows = 4″ in dc with smaller hook.
