Tassel Scarf

Add an exotic touch to any outfit with this lacy, tasseled wonder that is terrific as a scarf, a cowl or even a belt. The bamboo/cotton-blend yarn gives this crocheted accessory great drape and makes it a perfect transitional piece.

Finished Size:
5″ wide and 56″ long.
Yarn:
Valley Yarns Southwick (52% pima cotton, 48% bamboo; 105 yd [96 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #24 yellow (MC), 3 balls; #22 teal (CC1) and #14 African violet (CC2), 1 ball each. Yarn distributed by WEBS.
Hook Size:
E/4 (3.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions:
Two 12 mm wooden beads, 1 each in purple and teal; one plastic ring, 1 1⁄8″ in diameter; Yarn needle.
Gauge:
First motif = 6″, measuring from ring along V-sts.

  1. I need help with row 10 of the Tassels Scarf, of the first motif. Row 9 has been done according to diagram. When I chain three after turning onto row 10 thats where the problem begins. Skip ch 3 sp, treble, thats where it does not look at all like row 10. then after doing that any way the number of ch 3 sp are 17 is right , at the end of row ten there is an extra ch 3 sp to go onto the v-st. really frustrating to figure out what I am doing wrong, or is there a type-o on the printing of inst. and or diagram. Please help!
