I love the linings you chose - nice job!
Those look great. I've been tempted to make one of those, and here you've done THREE!
Cool! I like the idea of using big chunky beads for the handle on the brown one.
mad for crochet!
I made one of these with pink cotton and black oval handles and was looking for other ideas for handles. I love that you made the hadles for the purple one and it turned out beautiful. Do you think the lining is a necessity in these bags or is the stiching tight enough to leave it out? On the brown bag did you skip the last few rows of the top were you are supposed to wrap it around the handle so you could add the beads as your handle?
I've made all my bags with 2 strands of yarn together so I think that lining could have been optional but they look so cute! and on the brown bag I did leave off the last few rows on top because the handles were different.
Thanks for replying so quickly!! I love the linings too, I'm just not that great at sewing and getting the lining to line up well!!
Me too! my sister puts the lining in for me...I'm so ashamed
Love Love Love!
These bags are gorgeous! I can't believe they are handmade. I like the color choice, the crochet pattern, the wooden handles... I want to learn how to crochet drawstring bags, it looks like I am in the right place for this.
I love your bags. I have been wanting to make one, and this gives me some wonderful ideas. Thanks for sharing your completed projects.
do you have written instructions on how to crochet the top of the bag and the crocheted handle? I do have one, but I'm a little confused and wondered if maybe your instructions were a little more precise for those of us that are just beginning to crochet? I'd appreciate any help. :)
