Stitching up the World is a group of volunteers that share the
same interest, giving back to others that are in need!
Our group was started in March of 2010 and we knit, crochet or sew items that we can donate to different organizations.
Our main project is to make caps, scarves and lap blankets for patients at local Cancer Centers in NH that are undergoing chemotherapy. We are always looking for more volunteers to join our group. All levels of needlework welcome. We love to teach volunteers who have always wanted to learn to knit or crochet. Each month on the 3rd Thursday we meet from 7-9 at the Smyth Public Library to drop off items we have made in the past month, share patterns, teach new volunteers and munch on a few snacks while we socialize.
Donations of yarns or other supplies are always appreciated as this project is ongoing by the generous donations of individuals and companies. If donating wool or wool blend yarn please have it separate as we are not able to use wool on certain projects.
