This shawl is my second crochet project.

I took the idea for this pattern from here:http://yarnoverlounge.com/catalog/in...products_id=23.

I can't pay for the pattern, here from SA so I messed around for a few days to work my own pattern out based on the idea above. I then made the tassles 10" long and beaded in glass and silver beads, so that the tassles have a shimmer to them!

I am really very happy with the way that it has turned out! Only thing is, now i need things to cool down here in SA so that i can wear it! Hurry up winter!

I'm going to do this pattern again, of course!

This is beautiful!!!!

You can find all kinds of free patterns. My favorite place is www.lionbrand.com for their patterns. I also love the patterns in the Interweave Crochet magazine. I've made 2 projects already, the Forest Reflections shawl:

This was for my Mum's 86th birthday.

. . . and the Abalone Shell tank top. I have a photo of the shell top, but it's I'm at work now, and don't have access to it.

I mostly make my own designs, though. I really enjoy taking a basic pattern and trying new techniques (such as with my hats for cancer patients).

Keep crocheting! You have a real talent!
