My grandmother gave me a crocheted bedcover. It is beautiful. But many years ago, our first pup, started to chew on the center and put a 6 x 6 about hole in it. It is or appears to be a pretty simple pattern, but I am a new crocheter and have no clue what I am doing. Does any one have any ideas how I can restore this piece of our family history? Do I take it to a professional? How about the local Fiber Guild in our area, do they do things like this? I am out of ideas, and hate the thought of it sitting in a cedar chest for my kids to toss out when the time comes.

Without seeing the actual bedspread it is difficult to say. The best advice I can give you is to take it to an experienced crocheter and get their advice.

Many retirement centers have crochet groups and classes for their residents. I bet if you called a few you would find someone to fix you right up. Good Luck! Let us know how it turns out.
