Hi! I'm new to this forum and to crochet lace... I have been meaning to try this pattern for ages and have just gotten around to it and got stuck pretty fast.

www.interweave.com/needle/.../A-Crocheted-Lace-Edging.pdf

In the very beginning, it says:

Ch 6, 2 dc in sixth stitch from the fook. *Ch 5, turn, sk the ch sts, make 2 dc in the next dc of previous row. Rep from * for the desired length.

I am not sure where to put the 2 dc's. I know hey donät go in th chain, but after I turn it. should it go in the first dc I come to?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I looked at the pdf you referred to and tried a couple of rows. I do believe it is telling you to dc in the first dc of the previous row. I actually tried it using the second dc and it doesn't look much different. The idea of this pattern is to have a long ribbon-like piece (they're calling it a braid) with chain loops on the sides to join to the rest of the work. I hope this helps. Happy crocheting!
