I'm new in the forum and in the crochet & knitting world as well. This is my first question, I hope you can help me.

That looks knitted to me. Certainly the ribbed band is knitted.
At the top of this page are the words "Blogs, Forums, Patterns, etc"
Go into Patterns and on Page 2 is a very nice beret that you might like, similar to the one you are trying to find the pattern for.
