Help on the following would be appreciated!

Instructions say "dc2tog over next 2 ch".  I'm assuming this means start the dc2tog in the first chain, skip chains 2 and 3, then finish the dc2tog in the 4th chain.  Can anyone verify this?

Thank you!

"Dc2tog over next 2 ch" is worked into two chains in a row. So you will start the dc2tog in the first chain and finish it in the second chain; there are no skipped chains. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your help and response.  It confirms what I discovered over much trial and error last night.  What is confusing is that the same book, on a previous pattern, simply describes it as "dc2tog" while this new pattern I'm learning describes it as "dc2tog over next 2 ch".  Because they changed the way they wrote the instructions, I figured something needed to be different in carrying them out.  Thank you again!

Toni is right.  I can understand your confusion on the word "over".
