Looking for a pattern!

I REALLY want a pattern for a bulky sweater coat to crochet. I found one I mostly like, except the back is to long but it was already made and for sale.

Here's the site:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/60798060/crocheted-sweater-coat-in-painted-desert?ref=sr_gallery_19&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=+crochet+sweater&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_ship_to=US&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_noautofacet=1&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade%2Fclothing

Again, I love the bulky comfy front and arms, just not a fan of the back.

What I need is a pattern for something like this, nice bulky sweater coat. I desperately want to make one for myself seeing I am always cold, in addition I've been making all sorts of things for eveyone else for numerous reasons and would like something for myself.  If anyone could help me. I spent 5 hours searching with no luck but there's just so much out there I could search forever before I actually find one. I've looked here, ravelry, lions, pintrest, susie's blog (?), even red... I just can't find anything!

I'd even pay for the pattern. Just so long as it was like the front of this sweater coat (color obviously is not a big deal, lol) and down near the rump in the back (length wise) rounded or squared off.  I'd try my own pattern but I'm not that good. Just an average crocheter... But I'll try almost anything.

I've even got the yarn, 8 skeins of Homespun Lion Brand Yarn. I'll buy more if needed...

Please help...

Thank you!

Hi tararoseberry, I took a look at your link on Etsy and boy do I have some links for you.  The Etsy coat looks like as though it is worked in Lion Brand Homespun and I know there are Lion Brand has several coats, sweaters and wraps in Homespun.  All of these links are for free patterns.  Most are done with Homespun, but the last 3 are WoolEase Thick & Quick.  With each of them I've included the Ravelry link, except the Catskills Jacket, which doesn't seem to be in Ravelry yet.  So here we go...

1 - Urban Wrap, in 2 sizes - this is worked side to side, would be quick to do, then just seam up the sides - at Ravelryhttp://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/997.html?noImages=

and larger size - at Ravelry - http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/70678AD.html?noImages=

2 - Jaunty Jacket - shorter, but could simply lengthen - at Ravelry, http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/80990AD.html?noImages=

3 - Simple Crochet Shrug - this one has 3 Lion Brand links that, I think, are just different colorways and its Ravelry page has all these links - Ravelry,

4 - Streamlined Sweater Jacket - this and the following ones are more traditionally coat shaped - Ravelry, http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/878.html?noImages=

5 - Flattering Jacket - at Ravelry, http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/chs-flatteringJacket.html?noImages=, http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/60090AD.html?noImages=

these last 3 are done with WoolEase

6 - Country Car Coat - Ravelry, http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/50914AD.html?noImages=

7 - Whiter Shade of Pale Coat - at Ravelry, http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/70004A.html?noImages=

8 - Crochet Catskills Jacket - didn't find at Ravelry (I actually have the yarn for this one, but haven't started it yet), http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/30224AD.html?noImages=

So, maybe this will give you a start.  Cheryl
