I'm looking for a detroit lions afghan pattern to crochet. Can anyone help?
There are several Detroit Lions cross-stitch patterns on ebay that you could use (from the simple to the REALLY complicated):
Use the cross-stitch graph to make an afghan using single crochet or tunisian crochet. Each block of the graph represents one stitch. In the case of Tunisian crochet, if there are 240 blocks, you want to start with chain 241...the vertical lines on the graph represent the loops on your hook. With the tunisian you can cross stitch the lion and words on after you crochet the blanket...or if you're experienced, you can work the colors in as you crochet.
Hope this helps.
I like the patterns in the vintage publication "NFL Afghan, Lap Robe, and Pillow" by Noomis. Since licensing is expensive, officially licensed publications don't happen very often and this one is out of print. It comes up on eBay every now and then (like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crochet-PATTERN-Book-NFL-Afghan-Lap-Robe-Pillow-Volume-402-/310675559901?pt=US_Crocheting_Knitting_Patterns&hash=item4855b4d5dd).
I dunno if we'd really be able to see something as organized as people getting a food stamp debit card from their local church though..
