I have have been making dog sweaters.  Although they start out the right size, they stretch as the dog is wearing them.  Is there a type of yarn that will not stretch much?

Thanks for the help.

Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

Acrylics stretch as they are worn.  Wool felts as it is washed and cotton-blends don't stretch as much. So, I would use a either 100%wool,  wool-cotton blend or acrylics with cotton blend to avoid stretching. I would also use smaller hook than the yarn recommends.

good luck,

Padma

I like using "wool-ease" yarn.  It's mixed fiber that seems to hold it's "size" well for me
