I have come to a wall in regards to the Sage Jacket/Dora Othrenstein. I just got to the point where I am at Shape armhole:
Sizes 34 (52, 58)" only:
Row 1: (WS) Sl st in next 4 (6, 6) sts, ch 1, sc in same st, cont
in upper bodice patt to last 3 (5, 5) sts, turn leaving rem sts
unworked—63 (95, 107) sts.

I don't end with 95 sts, I end up with 72. Where do the 23 stitches fit in? Because I am not counting the 6 stitches that you slip stitch or the remaining 5 unworked.

I finally figured it out.  The way this  pattern is written up is confusing. If you don't take the time to really read the directions it becomes very confusing because the directions are not in order and you need to make sure that you count the stitches as well. I am working on the sleeves now and when I am done with those I can start sewing it together. Yes the pattern is a bit hard as well.

I started to work on the sleeve and got as far as row 48, but I had to pull it out back to row 30. Either I am missing the boat on this pattern or there is something not right . Have you been able to complete a sleeve?

I've just started this and I'm already confused! I had a quick read over the instructions for the sleeves and no wonder you're lost. Have you figured it out yet?

Yes and here is what was told to me.This is for the size 40 though

For Rows 31-51: when working a size 40”, your stitch numbers are no longer in parenthesis. Because you are working in the “Sizes 40 (46)” section, the stitch rows of “23 (35) sts” will correspond. In other words, you should only end up with 23 stitches, not 35. So then, starting row 52-56, you will have 23 stitches and work the rows which should give you the 17 stitches indicated.
