If you are a yarn lover like I am, you probably have dozens of old skeins in your stash that you have by now forgotten whatever in the world possessed you to buy THAT? And what in the world are you going to do with it NOW? Well, here's the perfect answer for all of those partial balls, strange colors and 'what was I thinking' skeins in your stash. Make Snuggles and donate them to your local shelter. Snuggles are nothing nore than little blankies/mats for shelter dogs and cats. They don't care about crazy colors or combinations, and if your shelter has a washer/dryer, they will gladly take all you can give them. These are great TV-watching projects, killing 2 birds with one stone. Wasted yarn + wasted time = a happy shelter animal.
For more information about The Snuggles Project, including many free patterns and a downloadable donation form, just go to http://www.snugglesproject.org and check it out. If your local shelter isn't listed, no problem; I'm sure they'd love to have Snuggles, anyway.
