This photo is an attempt to answer trudel's question regarding how to use the shawl tie that I published. As seen in the photo, only one tie is made to use as closure at the neck area. The button is folded temporarily and threaded through the ch3 space (which was part of the neckline finishing of the shawl). Please note that both end buttons comes up to the right side of the shawl. When the button is properly threaded then these can be flattened to their original shape. The tie is pulled loosely or tightly according to one's preference and tied like a shoe lace. The Buttons keep the tie in place, it does not have to be threaded and or unthreaded through the neck line when taking off or putting on. Sorry, it takes too long to explain this in words I have some more photo to explain this but only one photo is allowed here. So if you need more visual info on this please refer to my blog:

I will publish the rest of the photo there.

Thank you for your interest and happy crocheting.
