How to Crochet With Fuzzy Yarn

We all know the tale--you go to use that super-soft fuzzy yarn you couldn't resist buying (e.g. Lion Brand Fun Fur), only to find that you keep increasing and decreasing 'cause you can't see the dang stitches through all the fuzz. THEN when you go to frog your pathetic-looking swatch and the yarn gets stuck. Annoyance central.

I found that yarn such as this works really, really well when you use a mesh stitch. The furry nature of the yarn means that the gaps aren't that noticeable, plus (at least with the Patons yarn I used), the scarf curls up on itself (kinda like a stockinette st scarf with no border). And it's easier to frog for some reason. I've made at least three scarves like this and it works like a charm!
