There's this really cute pattern that I'd love to try, but it starts (And actually, a lot of the patterns I would like to try) by telling me to:

"The body is worked in round, do not join with a slip stitch at the end of each round, use a marker at the beginning of each round."

What does that mean, crochet in the round? How do you do it? I'm new to this- taught myself with a klutz book and a lot of tutorials online. And for this pattern specifically, which stitch do I mark with my stitch marker?

Many thanks! So frustrated!

This site helped me SOO much. the instructions are very clear and if you scroll down in the box it has videos to follow that are very nice. good luck learning in the round! it's not hard infact that's pretty much all i do, crochet in the round because I make little animals.

It also has videos for almost anything so take a look around!
