First, thank you CrochetMe for giving a newbie a place to learn more about crochet!

I am working on the Jolly Rancher skirt from this site, and have a question about it. I posted the Q in the comments section of the pattern but haven't gotten a response. I know I should be patient but I want to finish this NOW! It's cold outside :)

My question is this; I finished the waistband, joined it into a circle and did the 80 sc around the edge. Do I slip stitch from the 80th sc to the first one? It's not in the pattern but it seems logical to join the round, and I don't know if there are inferred slip stitches in crochet pattern.

Any help anyone can give is appreciated. Even if it's telling me a better place to go and ask for help!

I haven't made this skirt, but I think your instinct is right. The waistband is slip stitched together, rows 1 and on are slip stitched together, so it seems only natural that the initial 80-stitch row, row 0?, would be slip stitched together. Pattern mistakes happen.

Tomisha:

I've made the Jolly Rancher twice and I didn't make a slip stitch . . . I just began the next row. I hope this helps.

Yes thank you!! I have been so excited to resume this project. It seems like it goes quick enough that I will get it done before winter ends :)
