I saw circular crochet hooks the other day when I was in JoAnns. They confused me because I could NOT, for the life of me, figure out what they could be used for.

Can someone help me out? What kind of projects would you use them for? And do you have pictures?

Thanks!!

I think they are mainly used for Afghan aka Tunisian crochet. They'd be more comfortable to use on wide panels just as I use circular knitting needles even for back and forth knitting. If they had hooks at both ends, there is an Afghan-like technique where you pick up loops with one end and then work them off with the other end, usually in a different color. I forget the name.
