Thanks to some fantastic advice by Pauline I'm finally up and running with the dress I've been meaning to make. I'm using Aunt Lydia's mercerized cotton thread in a natural Ivory color and so far everything is coming together nicely.
Or was... until I decided that it would look better in color. I was wondering if any of you have had experiences with dying finished objects. If so, what kind of yarn/dye did you use?
