3 double crochets in one single crochet

How do you do it. I have been using a triple crochet. Also, pattern says do all stitches from back loop. Good on first row, but there isn't one on the second row forward. Help!!!

3 dc in 1 sc - I couldn't find an exact description, but this page shows how to work 2 dc into one stitch. Just work one extra, a third dc. There is a heading for 3 dc into one st, but the link shows a decrease, a cluster, not an increase.


By the way, LOTS of stitch patterns call for 3 or more dc's into one stitch - granny squares, shell patterms, corners - so you want that in your skill kit.
