I was commissioned from a friend to crochet a demon baby.

I've been trying to come up with a pattern for days, but I can't figure anything out.

The problem I'm having is that I want him to look fairly realistic, with little baby cheeks and a nose. Is there any way to add on to make bumps for the cheeks? Or would I have to just make it in pieces?

I have a sketch of what I want it to look like, if that would help at all?

edit: Here's a quick sketch I did of what he'll look like:

Of course, he'll be slightly more simplified than that, but I would love to get the face somewhat like that.

You could use a popcorn stitch if the baby is small enough.

That's not a bad idea, actually.

But I'm not sure the baby's head will be small enough to pull that off.
