so i just started making a Beret, it's my first time trying to read a pattern and i need some guidance pleas

so this is partial pattern.

Beret: Ch 4, join with sl st in 1st ch to form a ring.

Rnd 1: (Right Side): Ch 3, 14 dc in ring; join with sl st to trop of ch 3 – 15 sts.

Rnd 2: Ch 4, dc in next dc, ch 1, [dc in next dc, ch 1] 13 times, join to 3rd ch of ch-4 – 15 dc.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in base of ch 3, ch 1; [2 dc in next dc, ch 1] around – 30 dc; join.

Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in base of ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 1; [2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, ch 1] around – 45 dc. Join.

Rnd 5: Working in back lps only, ch 3, dc in base of ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, ch 1; [2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, ch 1] around – 60 dc. Join.

Rnds 6 - 11: Working in back lps only, ch 3, dc in base of ch 3, dc in ea dc to ch 1 sp, ch 1; [2 dc in next dc, dc in ea dc to ch 1 sp, ch 1] around, having 1 additional dc in ea group ea row – (10 dc in ea group, 150 dc in Row 11). Join after ea row.

i was confused about rnd 6-11 description:

what does [2 dc in next dc, dc in ea dc to ch 1 sp, ch 1] means? especially the part of in ea dc to chq sp? does that means that i have to dc in the ch1 part of rnd 5? i don't exactly get it.

can somebody pleas help?

As I read it, you increase (2 dc in next dc), then dc in each dc, then make a ch-1 space over the space on the previous row.
