Hey all!
I really need some help:). I'm new to crocheting and I've been trying to follow the Wristables pattern : http://crochetme.com/wristables
Well I don't think mine are turning out right and I can't figure out why - I've tried the pattern three times:(. The last two I keep getting this growing circular thing developing. Can anyone look at my picture and pleeeaase tell me what I might be doing wrong??
Thanks soooo much:)...

Hi Miss Leah,
I tried counting the number of stitches you have on the last round, not too successfully 'cause not too patiently, but you have way more than the 26/30/34 you should have. You must have increased, perhaps in round 2.
On a hunch, did you make the sc in the NEXT st or in the st you had just worked an fpdc in? Whatever the cause, count the number of sts in round 1. Here's where stitch markers are handy - put one in the first st and in every 10 sts (11, 21, 31) to make the counting easier, and leave them in. I assume round 1 is OK.
Now work round 2. Count the number of sts you have worked so far in round 2 when you reach the first marker in round 1. The correct number is still 11. If it's more than that, figure out where the extras came from. Aha, that's what is going wrong!
Hope that helped. If not, please tell us what happened and ask some more. There are enough crocheters on this board to solve your problem.

PS - I, too, love fingerless mitts and bought a pair, knitted a pair, and crocheted 2 pair. That looks like a good pattern.
Pauline thanks so much! Ok, I think I'm ready to try this again. What you said is probably what I did - I've just got to figure out how I did it! I'll let you know how it works out!
Oh, multi-talented lady!
Oh thanks Pauline! *blush* :). In the time I was supposed to be starting on this again I made a hat, lol, and it turned out nice!...but now at least I think that little accomplishment will help me tackle these wristables again, lol. I will prevail! :D.
