Ok...so my mom's bday is in a couple of weeks, and well...I DON'T HAVE A GIFT! Help! She really likes BIG purses...and so I thought I'd make her one.

What I want...

Large sized purse.

One skein.

Would not take that long to finish. (Since I don't have that long...no LOL)

I have looked and looked but can not find anything! Please help!

Maybe, since it is hard to make something big with 1 skein of yarn, you could make a fabric bag and embellish it with crochet, like a messenger bag with the top flap being crochet, and the bag part being fabric. It's an idea.

Ok...thanks but I do not have a sewing machine. I would barrow one from my sister but her is broke to! (I can't free hand sew.) It doesn't have to be one skein I was just saying that so I could get her something to put into it. But really cute idea! (REALLY) Ok so do you or anyone else have a pattern?

Don't free-hand sew. Use chalk or one of those fancy disappearing ink pens to draw the seam line on the fabric and stitch along the line.
