I'm stuck on this pattern:

http://web.archive.org/web/20011021222032/www.cei.net/~vchisam/groovy/v-14.html

I've gotten as far as the 3rd Row 2 of the pattern under All Sizes. I'm stuck on rows 3 to 5. I did it the way the pattern described it but it came out looking totally wrong. Maybe I am reading it wrong??

Row 3: Work first shell, ** ch 1, 1 sc in space between next 2 dc's on scallop, * ch 3, 1 sc in next ch-1 space *, repeat from * to * 6 times more, ch 1, 1 shell in next shell, repeat from to last scallop, ch 1, 1 sc in first space on scallop, repeat from * to 7 times, ch 1, join, sl st in space.

I don't think it makes sense to chain 3 after making 1 single crochet between the 2 dc's on the scallop since the scallop is made up of 11 dc's.

I know it is kind of hard to get help with patterns like this on forums, but I don't know of any places around here that can help me in person. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

Hi, okay I think maybe what they are wanting you to do is to make a ch 3 after each sc, that will form a "loop" Which on your next row I imagine you will be working into that ch 3 loop. Give that a try and see if it helps. Good luck
