I just recently started crocheting, and am making a blanket with double crochets. I laid it out last night and noticed it's much too long. I want to accomodate the length by adding dc's along the edges, and then do the edging around the entire thing. Would this work?
What I would do is to add the same number of rows on each side of the blanket (for balanced appearance as well as functionality. I would add enough rows on each side to make the blanket square before I do the edging.
