Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to this site, and thought I'd join in the fun. It's good to be among the like-minded where crochet is concerned!

I learned how to crochet from a co-worker friend of mine just over 6 yrs. ago. We were supposed to have our first lesson on 9/11 but as you know that was a horrible day....anyway, we needed a diversion so we began the next day and I've been crocheting ever since. She taught me the basics and I've learned quite a bit on my own, and I love every minute of it!

See you around the site!

Interesting that you started around 9/11. Reba, who owns the Fiber Loft (Bare Hill Studio) yarn store in Harvard, Mass., said a few years ago that business began to increase quite a lot after 9/11. I think it IS comforting for us humans to have our hands on something we control, that is lovely and satisfying to many senses, and where we can see and feel what we've done and hold it in our hands.

Hi Theresa! Yes it is an interesting way of looking at it. Something we can control but comforting and satisfying. I just love it, and I'm glad I found this site and can share my yarn obsession/fascination with you all! =-)>
