Hello Everyone!

I'm new here and a little new to crochet, been addicted to the hook for about 6 months now!

Winter is coming fast up here in Wisconsin! It's the perfect time to work on those warm afghans and throws!

One of my goals is to make a nice afghan for each of my 4 children to use in their homes as a Christmas gift.

Is anyone else working on Christmas gifts yet?

Hah! I'm getting some yarn delivered next week for an afghan, 3 strands held together and crocheted with a gigantic hook. Do you think I'll make it by Xmas?

Sounds like your well on your way! Kay, I also live in Wisconsin and you are right, crocheting will keep you warm in the winter. I am almost 30 and have been crocheting since I was 11 years old. I have crocheted about anything you can emagine. Just made a cell phone cover. My favorite throws are the granny squares. I just got done with one called Retro Afghan. Beautiful!!! Go to Coats and Clark website, they have the pattern. I replaced the Black with Coffee Brown and the pink with Robins egg blue. Beautiful!!!
