My recently deceased mother-in-law was a fabulous, crafty person. I found a huge box of crocheted squares - all different colors - she must have used her scrap yarn. They do not match and would not be attractive sewn together. I would like to give as Christmas presents to the family, but I can't think of what I can make them into. Other than pot holders? Suggestions Appreciated!

What about framing them? Maybe some would look nice hung together in simple frames?
Or maybe a few would work as a wall hanging with different matching or contrasting colors used in between?

Maybe you could send them to Warm Up America. They are a volunteer organization that takes crocheted/knitted squares, pieces them into afghans and then distributes them to any shelter or red cross that requests them.
That is perfect! And, with winter coming soon, the granny squares will be put to good use. I will contact Warm Up America today and get their mailing address.
I just need a few of the squares for framing - so the family and the needy will be appreciative.
