bamboo purse handles

Help - I have a pattern for a crocheted purse that uses 12 inch straight bamboo handles. Can't find them anywhere. All I find are the oval or "U" shaped ones.

Any ideas on sites (that are safe to buy from) or other ideas if I can't find them.
