I think I saw a Lion Brand pattern for leg warmers recently. It might have been knitted, though.

You can definitely find patterns, but being that leg warmers are tubes, they're easy to improvise. You could do them in the round as a spiral and add an edging or a band of ribbed crochet on the tube openings, or you could make a rectangular piece of the proper lenght and continue it until it fits around your calves, then stitch the sides together


I'm going to make some arm warmers soon and I'll be sure to post the pattern - you can probably add a few stitches and make them leg warmers (in my case I can reuse the same for both arms and legs but some ppl need a bit more room for legs)
