How to increase when crocheting

In the pattern I am crocheting a new Beret and every 6th sc have to increase as I am still a beginner .

How do I do this please?

Hi,

Somewhere near the beginning of the pattern, there *should* be a definition of what the designer means by 'increase'.

If that is missing, then try working two stitches, not one, in every 6th sc.
